When is the Next Google PageRank Update 2011?
Everyone who is reading this post must heard about Google Page Rank (PR) and its importance in Search Engine Optimization. PageRank adds more value to a website to rank well in top Search Engines. Although there are many other ranking factors like back links, website age, domain popularity etc…, the Page Rank had even more weight-age which helps to rank for high targeted keywords.
The Pagerank ranges between 0 to 10 depending on the above said factors. A site with Zero PR is least important and the site with high PageRank i.e., PR 10 will have high importance in the eye of Google.
Schedule for Google PageRank Update in the year 2010
Last Page Rank (PR) Update: 31st December 2009
First PageRank (PR) Update 2010: 31 March – 3 April 2010
Second 2010 Page Rank (PR) Update: 30 June – 7 July 2010
Third 2010 PageRank (PR) Update: 31 September – 7 October 2010
Fourth 2010 Page Rank (PR) Update: 31 December – 2 January 2011
Note: The above mentioned dates are assumptions based on previous PR updates by Google. Generally the PR is updated 4 times in a year. So check your page rank in a week as Google is updating ranks of page this week.
Update (July 27th): As per some sources, Next major PR update 2010 will occur during the first week of August, but only Big G knows when. In the meantime, keep on posting quality content (avoid duplicate content) and your hard work will eventually pay off!
Update (January 19th): Finally, Google has rolled out a Major PageRank update after 8 months.
Second PR update: April 2nd 2011 (CONFIRMED)
Third PR update: May 27, 2011 (CONFIRMED)
Fourth PR update: June 29th, 2011 (CONFIRMED)
Fifth PR update : August 05, 2011 (CONFIRMED)
Sixth PR update : November 08, 2011 (CONFIRMED)
Next PageRank Update : December’11 to January’12 (Last Week)

Hi Friends, Even though July 7th has passed away, the page rank was not updated. According to experts, Google may update the page rank by the end of July 2010. I am also expecting a good PR this time.

Third 2010 PageRank (PR) Update: 31 September – 7 October 2010 ( not going to happen )
Google is not interested anymore in pagerank and wil stop with big PR Updates. You will see that we have and hat a lot af minor updates and thats the way it stays.

Don’t hold your breath… nothing is coming. Especially no word from google. Just a tiny handful of “updates” awarded to lucky lottery ticket holders. Most sites will end up with a handful of nothing, but the “updates” will keep people talking for years to come. Pagerank is dissolving into chaos, a long slow decline

google is not updating page ranks since 4th april 2010 & hope so it will be happen in dec 2010 or in starting the new year 2011 & google is giving minor updates to inner pages and unranked pages can updated any time to pr0.

Google has updated PR in October for many sites and blogs, but that was a minor pr update which will happen a lot of times depending up on their algorithm. The major PR Update did not happen after April. But there is a buzz that Google will update PR this jan 2011 as new years gift. So let’s wish that happens.

if you linked to a site (let it be low rank site or high pr site), a tiny amount of your google pr juice will pass to it…So if the site you’re linking is irrelevant to your content..then use nofollow tag..

Interesting Post, First you need to know that there are two different types of Google PageRank, toolbar PageRank and the actual PageRank assigned to any given page. This is what confuses so many Webmasters in the Internet marketing community. The toolbar PageRank is actually a reading off of the actual PageRank. The toolbar PageRank is most often outdated while the actual PageRank is frequently updated. The actual PR that is assigned to a page is not shown on the Google toolbar or anywhere else while the toolbar PR can be found in various places.

Although I am interested in updates I do not follow them that closely. It may appear that I do if you follow some of my posts. I belong to a website that is very tuned into it. Whenever there is pagerank update activity happening they are one of the firsts to know about it. I simply pass it along to my readers.

It is quite unsafe to claim how many times a year Google update Page Rank since there is no confirmation from Google itself but the last confirmed large update was in April of 2010 and the Page Rank values have finally been changed and updated by Google in January 2011 – nine months later. Usually making a PR update twice a year, Google has probably been overly consumed in promoting and producing Android and Chrome OS while also updating their own systems pertaining to AdSense, Analytics, etc.
